I recently received a copy of Perl Hacks in the mail from O'Reilly, as a gift for my contributions to the recent Perl calendar advent. It arrived very quickly from the time I announced my desired book - only a few days. I was told that I should post a review of the book somewhere. So I've been thinking that after I finish reading it, I'll write one review and publish it on several places. Places I have in mind at the moment:
I'm open for other suggestions. I started reading the book, and so far it seems like a fun book. I think I'm already at the third chapter.
Despite the expected deluge of foolish comments, Slashdot is a wonderful place to publish book reviews. That's the most effective way I've found to reach a wide audience (as measured by book sales and referrals).

Well Slashdot's book reviews tend to be lengthy and comprehensive, while my reviews tend to be short and laconic. They also publish only one review per book (if at all). I can try publishing my review there, but don't get your hopes up.

All of the authors very much appreciate any review you or anyone else publishes, anywhere. Thank you!
